We are an insurance broker with morals. No, honestly.
We pledge to not insure businesses which:
Produce or sell animal-based products.
Whilst we can't guarantee that a client won't suddenly start - we promise to turn away businesses who do at the time of quoting.
Produce or sell weapons of any kind
This one's a bit of a no-brainer.
Produce or sell fossil fuels
We're not climate-change deniers, basically.
Keep animals or people in captivity
SeaWorld can find insurance elsewhere, and detaining people for profit (e.g. detention centres) isn't something we'll put our name behind.
Are primarily involved with deforestation or destructive mining
There is no planet B!
Are running gambling operations
Either online or via betting shops. That's not our jam.

Why this matters
So we don't profit from harm
REALLY HONEST is a for-profit, but we want to make money fairly and with no victims on the other end.
We want the right sort of clients
By making these promises, we hope to attract clients who are ethically aligned with us. We'd rather help businesses we feel share our world-view.
Our founder and our team believe in these pledges
This isn't just marketing for us - our team feel strongly that we act on these values and behave responsibly.

Why this matters
Common questions
Probably, in terms of revenue. We're a B Corp, so we're held to a standard beyond what's technically insurable and how much we could make. We'd rather grow slower with clients who share our values.
